Continuously variable transmission technology has taken a leap forward with the introduction of the Milner Continuously Variable Transmission (MCVT). Lightweight and compact, the MCVT allows for unprecedented power density (as a function of both size and mass) among traction CVT’s, and provides significant benefits over existing belt driven CVT’s. more >>
The MCVT delivers smooth, step-less shifting over its entire ratio range. The unlimited number of ratios available across the MCVT's range allows for accurate speed control in many different types of equipment. Coupled with an epicyclical gearbox, the MCVT becomes an infinitely variable transmission. This allows for the seamless transition from forward rotation, through neutral and then into reverse.
The unique adjustment mechanism of the MCVT allows it to operate without a complex electrical or hydraulic system to control clamping forces on the traction elements. This results in a CVT that is both highly efficient and simple to control. We invite you to explore the exciting possibilities of mechanical control systems not restricted by fixed gear ratios.
